Often, we may need the chassis vehicle identification number, body manufacturer’s production number, pump manufacturers serial number, or component manufactures model number to properly identify and locate specific parts. These numbers are normally found on the vehicle identification plate on the driver’s door or door jamb of the cab, inside a front compartment of the body or on the pump manufacturer’s plate located on the pump panel. The identification numbers, also referred to as sales order numbers, production numbers or job numbers may also be found in the original vehicle service manuals that were shipped with the vehicle when it was new.
